Top Celebrity Chef at Columbia Plaza
Jeannie Pierola
The Plaza was honoured and excited to bring in top celebrity chef, Jeannie Pierola, to set-up their culinary team at the Steakhouse, and create a new menu that is authentic American food.
"I just love the flavors," said Pierola, who ran Caribbean-styled restaurants before she took over U.S.A’s legendary steakhouse, Bern’s. "Making food that is really fun to eat is a treat for me."
Today, Pierola, who has recently left Bern’s, is committed to maintaining the best of traditions while constantly developing innovative programs and concepts.
A Tampa native who briefly considered careers as a stand-up comedian and an attorney before deciding to focus on hospitality, Pierola was thrilled to take her expertise abroad by visiting Cyprus and becoming part of the island’s newest culinary adventure at the Plaza.
The staff and chefs at the Steakhouse were ecstatic about working with Pierola, who was in charge of writing the new menu, supervising the training of the crew, and developing unique house specialties. She will stay on as advisor to the Steakhouse for the rest of the year.
